Leg day for me comes twice a week and I highly recommend you incorporating at least one day to your bottom half. Yes, men I'm talking to you too!

My favorite day out of the week is a day dreaded by most people and that is Leg Day.

Fitness people LOVE to talk about leg day. Truly obsessed! Don’t believe me? Log into Instagram right now and search the hashtags #legday or #legdayroutine. You will find over a million photos and memes of people talking about how much they hate, love, or love to hate leg day.

The Wholesome Way Leg Day Routine

  • Warm up: Jog for 10 min. on the treadmill 
  • Barbell Squats: 3 x 10 reps (Heavy) Butt down & low!
  • Leg Extensions: 4x8/12 (drop set) > Leg Press: 4x15
  • Inner & Outer Thigh Machine: 4x15 > Weighted Jump Squat: 4x20 (heart rate should be HIGH)
  • Lying Leg Curls: 4x12 > Wall Sit 4x1 min. > Heavy Barbell Deadlifts: 4x15 
  • Bulgarian Split Squat (each leg) 4x15 > Cable Kickbacks 4x15 (my favorite)
  • Finish with HIIT: 15 min. on the stair master
